Teddy Bear Ministry
As you enter our sanctuary, you will see some furry friends at the end of each pew. These teddy bears are part of an exciting outreach ministry in which everyone may and, hopefully will, participate. These previously loved bears are in search of new homes. Until then they are sitting among our church family, hearing the Word read, prayers prayed, praises sung, and sermons preached.
If you know of someone (including you) who needs comfort and love, please take one. There are some with eyes suitable for young children, some small ones suitable for a purse and larger, huggable ones. Each has been washed and sanitized and has been given a label with a message about the bear’s time in church.

You can participate in the ministry in any of the following ways:
- Deliver a bear to someone who needs some extra love and hugs. Bears have gone to those who are hospitalized, in skelled nursing or rehab facilities, homebound, experiencing losses, or celebrating a special event.
- Collect previously loved bears from attics, tag sales, thrift shops, etc. and place them in the basket in the Narthex.
- Share a special story of how a bear has benefited someone.
