58 May [the LORD] turn our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep the commands, decrees and regulations he gave our fathers. – 1 Kings 8:58
Today is Ash Wednesday, the start of the forty day season of Lent. Lent is a time for looking at our lives and discover those places where we have been faithful, the places where we have failed, the places where we are growing nearer to Jesus and those areas in our lives where we are distancing ourselves from the Lord.
When we take time to look over our lives we discover anew that we cannot turn to God on our own. We need the Lord’s help. We need to get in the habit of asking the Lord daily to turn our hearts to Jesus so that we will walk in His ways and love others as Christ loves us.
Sincerely,
Pastor Rick

“Jesus Makes All Things New”
Dear West Hartford Church Family:
Happy New Years! New Years is a day that really does belong with our Christmas celebrations. Jesus is born into the world on the first Christmas. Jesus’ entrance into His creation as one of its most helpless creatures (a baby) is God proclaiming that He has a new way of doing things.
